Els Vinyerons Vins Naturals is a project created by Álex Ruiz and Amós Bañeres, two young winemakers who make natural “garage wines”. Wines that reflect the character and richness of the land and the vineyard, seeking the expression of nature with minimal human intervention. With this objective in mind, they began a deep and long process in selecting those vineyards with the potential to communicate the essence of the grape variety, the land and the landscape through their fruits.

Pregadeú is an ancestral sparkling wine made of the Xarelo variety. Mineral and with exceptional salinity and freshness, it embodies floral and citric aromas. No sulfites are added during production, so it contains only those produced by the vine itself.

In 2011 Amos Bañeres decided to trade his life as a Barcelona pharmacist for that of a wine farmer, cultivating 5.5 hectares of family vineyards in his native Penedès. He manages small plots of Xarel-lo, Macabeu and Perellada as well as some Garnatxa, planted on a soil compostion of limestone, calcareous clay and sand. Amos is a very meticulous winegrower and his goal is to make pure and stable wines, without using any additives. As the viticultural principle of expressing the character of the land and soil into his vines and wines predominates in his wine philosophy, the various wines he makes are of limited production.

Microbio Wines is a family project headed up by Spanish natural wine master Ismael Gozalo. Ismael’s family owns some of the ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines in Rueda, dating all the way back back to 1748. These vines have never been chemically treated by the generations of farmers that have cared for them. Ismael is like a fairytale magician in his underground cellar in an ancient monastery, creating (near-)magical natural wines with unique characteristics and complex expressions. No one understands the Verdejo grape as well as Ismael Gonzalo, and no one makes more appealing and unusual Verdejo wines. 

Enjoy this unique low intervention, natural white wine made with 100% Verdejo, aged for eight months in old 1000 litre amphorae
