In 2011 Amos Bañeres decided to trade his life as a Barcelona pharmacist for that of a wine farmer, cultivating 5.5 hectares of family vineyards in his native Penedès. He manages small plots of Xarel-lo, Macabeu and Perellada as well as some Garnatxa, planted on a soil compostion of limestone, calcareous clay and sand.<br><br>Amos is a very meticulous winegrower and his goal is to make pure and stable wines, without using any additives. As the viticultural principle of expressing the character of the land and soil into his vines and wines predominates in his wine philosophy, the various wines he makes are of limited production.
